Frequency Band Conversion Tool

In April 2017, the FCC announced the results of the U.S. 600 MHz Spectrum Auction. As a consequence, operating wireless microphones and in-ear monitors on frequency ranges listed below will no longer be legal in the U.S.

To lessen the impact of these changes, you can use the Frequency Band Conversion Tool in Wireless Workbench® 6 to convert the frequency bands of supported devices to new bands that comply with FCC regulations.

CAUTION: This conversion is permanent. Only convert your devices if you meet the following criteria:
  1. You operate wireless microphones or in-ear monitor systems in the United States.
  2. You use any of the following supported Shure devices:
    • Axient® (AXT) Wireless Management Network (J5 or L3 bands)
    • ULX-D® Digital Wireless System (J50 or L50 bands)
    • QLX-D® Digital Wireless System (J50 or L50 bands)
    • PSM ® 1000 Wireless Personal Monitor System (J8 or L8 bands)
  3. Your device's frequency range overlaps any of the following:
    • 617-652 MHz
    • 663-698 MHz
